The emphasis of this piece is the key. It relates to my theme in the sense that if one were to be locked away physically, they would be cut off from sound or conversation with most of the outside world. Then if one were locked away in an emotional sense- for example a person in a state of denial, they would choose not to hear the outside world. They would be locked in silence by their own refusal to listen.
